Admitted Students: What's next?

Registration - Students admitted to begin summer term can register for classes immediately. These students may benefit, though, from participating in our Jumpstart program before undertaking the registration process. Registration for new freshmen starting in Fall begins June 12. JumpStart - Admitted students will be notified by email about our Jumpstart program which assists students to arrive on campus feeling prepared and empowered.

Housing - Our On-Campus Housing office has posted a message to each admitted student’s regarding housing selection and registration information. Room selection will be the end of March/first part of April. The housing office will be sending out an email on March 15 with more specific information on their room selection dates. Scholarship Notification - Scholarship notification will occur in mid-to-late April.  However, admitted students can review the freshman academic scholarship matrix to preview potential academic awards.   

Missionary Deferment - Many students are likely considering deferring attendance at BYU in order to serve LDS church missions. In general, students should defer AFTER receiving the mission call, but BEFORE entering the Missionary Training Center. It would be best, though, for any freshman student considering the timing of mission service to review the specific information on our deferment site. Here is the link to access the mission deferment process:
