Cougar Cash and On-Campus Banking Options

Cougar Cash

Cougar Cash is a convenient method to bypass many of the banking fees and hassles when purchasing food and other things around campus. Students can load money to their student ID card at or with the BYU app. Cougar Cash can then be used for various purchases around campus.

  • Students don't have to pay sales tax at the Cougar Eat if they use Cougar Cash.
  • Cougar Cash is the only way to pay for printing at labs across campus.
  • Students living in on-campus housing receive a discount when using Cougar Cash to pay for the use of the washers and dryers associated with their housing unit.
  • Cougar Cash provides a way to buy a snack at vending machines without having to carry around cash.

Visit the Cougar Cash website for more details and video instructions of how to load money to your student's card and learn how Cougar Cash can benefit you and your student.

Banks and ATMS On-Campus

There are several banking options available on campus. Inside the BYU Store there is a Wells Fargo bank with tellers and bankers. There are also ATMs outside of the Wilkinson Center. The ATMs include the following: Chase, Wells Fargo, America First, UCCU, DFCU, and Zions Bank. Collectively, these ATMs accept the following cards: Visa, Mastercard, Star, Discover, Plus, American Express, Co-op network, Mastercard, Cirrus, and Maestro. Most students use Cougar Cash a lot more than a bank or ATM.
